The Nelson Kayak and Canoe Club was founded in 1991. The Club was incorporated as a society on July 30, 2002, and has over 100 members.

The mandate of the Nelson Kayak and Canoe Club is to promote safe paddlesport in and around Lakeside Park in Nelson, BC, Canada. Membership in the NKCC provides anyone interested in kayaking and canoeing with boat rentals, boat storage, group outings and lessons.

Each year, the NKCC also sponsors summer camps for kids. See the Activities page for more info.
